What kind of portrait sessions do you offer?
Everything from personal and editorial portraits to professional headshots for business, branding, actors, musicians and authors.
Sessions can happen at your home, your workplace, on location, or in studio — natural light or a portable studio setup, whichever suits what you need the images for.

Who is this for?
Anyone who needs images that work harder than a phone photo — for LinkedIn, a website, a press kit, an acting or music profile, or simply because you want a proper portrait of yourself.
It's also for people who feel awkward in front of a camera — that's most people, and it's exactly what a relaxed, collaborative session is built to solve.

Why work with a portrait photographer rather than do it myself?
Because a good portrait does real work for you — more responses to a LinkedIn profile, more trust in a bio photo, a headshot that actually looks like you on a good day.
Because most people don't know what to do with their hands, their face, or their nerves in front of a camera — that's what I'm there to manage, so you don't have to think about it.
Because the difference between a passable photo and a genuinely good one is usually direction, light and a bit of trust — not the subject.

Where do sessions take place?
Wherever works best for the result — your home, your office, my studio, or on location.
For business headshots, you can either come to my studio in or I can often come to you; for personal or branding portraits, we'll talk through what location suits the images you need.

How does the process work?
We'll start with a quick call or message to talk through what you need the images for — that shapes everything else.
Once you've booked (a £50 deposit secures your date, deducted from the final fee), I'll confirm the setup and location.
On the day, we start with a few minutes to chat, have a cup of tea & settle in before we get going — no pressure, no rush.

I really don't like having my photo taken. Is that a problem?
Genuinely, no — it's the most common thing people say to me before a session, and it's exactly what a collaborative, unhurried approach is designed for.
I treat it as a two-way process, not you performing for a camera.

What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel like yourself — that's usually what reads best in the final images.
If it's a business headshot, bring 1–2 options and we can decide on the day.
Avoid busy patterns if we're shooting against a plain background.

How many images will I get, and how are they delivered?
The amount of images you get will be determined by the session we create and variety you need for your end use.
You'll get both colour and black & white versions, delivered as high-resolution files with full usage and printing rights, via a password-protected online gallery for you to choose your favourites.
