Family Photoshoot in Hampshire

I was introduced to The Otter family by The Turner family who had a family photography session with me earlier this year (you can see the photos from their family photo session here). We didn't get as much time to chat over the phone or skype, as I normally would before a family session. But they'd been introduced to me by the Turners so I knew they'd be lovely too (which they are).

They also completed the questionnaire I send out before I photograph a family. These help me get to know a family before I meet them and help them get an idea as to what to expect on the day. Some of their answers (particularly from the kids) made me laugh out loud. I knew it was going to be a good day. Check out their slideshow below:

Documentary Family Photography in Hampshire

I'm not sure if I've ever been offered breakfast* when I've arrived at a family photo shoot before (in fact, I'm certain I haven't). So I have to admit I was a bit taken aback when the Otter's laid a place for me at the table and insisted I had breakfast with them. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the day. Such a loving and generous family that made me feel so welcome and just felt good to be around.

I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to meet them and to photograph them.
A beautiful day...

*They "made" me stay for lunch too :)
