I was introduced to The Otter family by The Turner family who had a family session with me earlier this year (you can see the photos from their family session here). We didn’t get as much time to chat over the phone / skype as I normally would before a family photo session. But they’d been introduced to me by the Turners so I knew they’d be lovely too (which they are). They also completed the questionnaire I send out before I photograph a family. These help me get to know a family before I meet them and help them get an idea as to what to expect on the day. Some of their answers (particularly from the kids) made me laugh out loud.
I knew it was going to be a good day.

Family Photo Shoot in Hampshire
I’m not sure if I’ve ever been offered breakfast* when I’ve arrived at a family photo shoot before (in fact, I’m certain I haven’t). So I have to admit I was a bit taken aback when the Otter’s laid a place for me at the table and insisted I had breakfast with them. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the day. Such a loving and generous family that made me feel so welcome and just felt good to be around. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to meet them and photograph them. A beautiful day…
*They “made” me stay for lunch too 🙂
